For some reason this lawn chair is sitting in the middle of an icy cove. No marks are on the ice to say how it got to be there. It could be waiting for someone to sit on it but the ice is rather cracked.

Gee Deb how come you aren't in the shot snow baking? Great Vista quirky twist, my kinda shot.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, it is a funny place for it to be.
ReplyDeleteI love this! It is such a great composition it almost looks posed.
ReplyDeleteThis is too funny. It is just waiting for someone to come along and ENJOY the snow LOL!!
ReplyDeleteReally great find and love your picture!
Great shot of this lonesome chair.
ReplyDeleteEnigma at its best!
ReplyDeleteMaybe someone was sitting there, feeling proud of himself/herself, when the first little crackling sounds underneath . . . Time to leave, the chair is replaceable!
Good take on the theme!
How funny! That's outdoor seating at it's best! Great find!
ReplyDeleteGreat catch! Makes you wonder who went there to ponder!
ReplyDeleteHow funny that you happened along with your camera...that pristine snow is proof that you didn't stage this shot! Now why would someone put a chair there??? I like your black and white with just a tinge of color in the ice.
ReplyDeleteAt first, I thought the object was a fan, so it struck me as very funny. But it's still funny even when one realizes it's a chair--as if someone would want to sit out on the ice to bask in teh cold!
ReplyDeleteWhoever left the chair gave you a perfect photo op - the composition and the curiosity this poses are both highly attractive.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice chair. Maybe someone should Rope that baby in. LOL It just looks very cold and lonley. Great shot. funny too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great image. The area itself is picturesque and the enigma of the chair holds the viewers interest. Nice.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this shot! Beyond the curiosity of the chair's placement, the color of the ice is so lovely.
ReplyDeleteI'll admit, I'm known to take a chair out in the snow on sunny winter days. If you've never done it, you don't know how warming that sun feels when reflected off the snow...
