The moonsnail shell can be found on our beaches in winter, in summer beachcombers carry them away. The age of it can be calculated by the number of ridges. This one lived a good life.
The beachcomers should be encouraged to do what you did, take a wonderful photo then leave it there for others to see and whatever nature intended for it. Love the blue.
